Camped at Hattah-Kulkyne National Park. At night it is extremely quiet, no crickets or other insects. The only obvious sounds in our campsite were jet planes leaving from Melbourne or cars on a nearby road. It is very hard to record silence, but this night there was a distant Boobook Owl to give some dynamics of what would otherwise have been silence.
Recorded on my Zoom H4. I have edited out the occassional groans, grunts and snores of my fellow campers. In post i have significantly boosted the volume and done some EQ work on the top and bottom ends.

I'm going to use this as part of a sound design in the play 'Ruby Moon', by playwright Matt Cameron.
