"Actually too short. Need to be a hour long to put on a CD. Back to youtube" - The description states: "This file can be looped seamlessly". Most audio editing software, NLEs, and DAWs can loop audio clips. Audacity is a free DAW which can do this. This clip was edited for looping beforehand, so the loop point is set already.
"There's some hard cut edits in this. it pops." - This particular S/FX clip was not set-up for looping, so an artifact at the loop point is possible. Otherwise there are no edits or non-organic noises. Cheers, Knufds
"What setup did you use?" > As I recall from the eight or so years ago since, I had a Sound Devices 302 mixer and a stereo pair of Sound Room/Oktava 012 mics (probably using the cardioid capsules in an X/Y config) feeding a Zoom H2 recorder @ -10dB line level. It was likely a calm day as with as the Oktava 012 mics are extremely sensitive to wind (and handling noise) and all I had were foam windscreens. I did have a pair of Shure A53M shockmounts though.
