Pat Jackman is a Wexford based freelance arts administrator, musician and sound engineer, working primarily in theatre and contemporary dance. He also provides performance arts sound design, sound recording, editing and foley facilities for theatre practitioners, choreographers and dance companies and independent film makers.
Pat was chair and co-founder of music education charities Gorey and Wexford Music Centres and is still heavily involved in the support and promotion of Arts throughout Wexford. He is a member of the Wexford Arts Centre music steering committee.
Pat is backing vocalist and percussionist with The Jackmans, the first Irish band to release a ska album, which subsequently went into the Irish top twenty. He also has a long standing love affair with choral music, and has won many National and International awards with various choirs and ensembles.
