This very happy bird-song was recorded in Late winter/very early spring of 2012. It was a cold, partly sunny morning after a cold night, yet this red male cardinal was singing proud and loud. Recorded in a small town, with some traffic sounds in the back. Also, if you listen close enough you will hear some starlings in the background with their waking up chorus. Recorded using the Handy/Zoom H4N recorder and a Samson C0-2 microphone mounted inside my home-built parabolic reflector.

Nice, great sound capture, just enough ambient noises to give space and contrast to the main sound
