This recording is part of the microphone-comparison-traffic-wav
sample pack.
The three samples in this series were recorded simultaneously (from
approximately the same position) with three different standard stereo
microphone arrangements: mid-side (mixed into L-R), X-Y cardioid, and
with a Jecklin disk.
The 2'40" recordings capture automobile traffic passing from right to left
and left to right directly in front of the microphone
on a country road in New Jersey (USA) on September 9, 2006. There
is considerable ambient sound audible, mostly from a proliferation of crickets.
This recording was made with a Rode NT4 X-Y stereo microphone (with
a Rycote "Windjammer") connected to a Marantz PMD-671 digital
recorder at 96K/24bits.

Very interesting and demonstration of a Rode NT4 X_Y stereo microphone with Rycote "Windjammer" to a Marantz
PMD -671 at 96K/24bits
I really like the recording and the Mararntz-Rode combo as well
