This was a strange discovery.
I discovered that my car, when AM is set to 540, picks up noise from acceleration.
The EMI is inverse to the pressure i put on the accelerator. Therefore, when i accelerate, the tone moves down.
This is a recording i made driving home from work. I used my ZOOM H4 with the built in stereo mic built in.
recorded at 48/24 encoded to flac.

hello, sanus, hammer said exactly what i feel about. great discovery and take !!
sanus has it on the head! Throttle synthesis composition! You sound-designers---you pick up sounds most of us either don't hear, or really like but let pass; and you record them for us! Sorry I got to this so late---this is terrific! (Sound-worlds converge and, presto! Miles Davis!) (That's his trumpet in there---I'm pretty sure)
Ha! This adds a whole new dimension to driving. A new artform - throttle synthesis compositions? Like the exhaust back in there on some segments.
Amazing, this makes for a brilliant conceptual piece!
It's things like this that make me glad that freesound is around for people to put their recordings.
