This could also sound as steps of a mech/robot being the last 2/3 part as normal step while from start to end sounds as heavy steps or a soundly jump landing of a mech/robot. Also sounds an impact or fall by a machine. The loudness of the sound makes it more better. Thanks for this upload!

clipping is never suppose to be intentional. You can cause damage to user's speakers. Never ever clip, not at the sounds output, that's a technical decision, not an artistic one. never go past 0dB.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipping_%28audio%29
    is the difference from
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overdrive_%28music%29

The effect of clipping is different on each system and speaker, and is uncontrollable what the reaction maybe. the sound will finitely come down to whatever their audio encoder does with clipped signal. some could let the sound be dead silence, some could make it sound like a cool distortion, some could make it sound very digital. if not there, then the speakers themseleves, and try to push the coil inside OUT of the bloody speaker, and potential cause the click noise that happens to ruined speakers. even being -.1dB can cause clipping/damage.

you can make the clipping sound happen BEFORE you save the sound file, it should ALWAYS be under the 0dB limit, without exception. if you want that sound, use a Hard Clipper, and get the signal you want clearly.

Exactly what I need for an explosion: BOOM! and silence

Does not interfere with other sound effect, but still has impact
