This is a collection of sounds gathered from the Newport Wetlands Nature Reserve in Newport, UK.
I had the chance to borrow a hydrophone microphone from a very generous and helpful friend of mine. They're made by a Jez Riley French (http://jezrileyfrench.co.uk/jrf-audio-supplies.php).
There is quite a bit of high frequency hissing where I had to boost the gain to get a decent signal, but on a few (I thought I had broken the microphone) you can also hear the power line hum. It was a surprise to hear!
