This sound was recorded at Stanford University in a studio (very hi-fi environment) on Monday, September 7th, 2009. First, the rear wheel on a bike lying on its back was sped up. Then a sandal was rested lightly on the spokes, slowing it down and creating what is first almost a drone and then a beat that slowly slows down. The mic was placed about 6 inches from the wheel. The only editing was a small fade at the start and end.
