Recorded at the same place as Nightingale song one ( forest north ofCologne, Germany), just one year later, in May 2003. In the background onecan hear the typical bird chorus of an early spring evening. Vivanco EM35 with preamp into Sony DAT-recorder.

This is fab! We're lucky enough to live near a nightingale site and have just come in from hearing about 7 for real - a truly magnificent & awesome experience. Thanks lots!

I've always wondered what a nightingale's song sounds like. Living in the US means I can't hear one at any given time out my window. Thank you, reinsamba, for satisfying my curiosity!

Now I know what a nightingale sounds like. (Without having to ask any weird bird watching people.)
