Solo cello improvisation, involving lots of pizzicato, finger percussion- no bow.

Lots of sounds you won't find in the vienna symphonic library. Including my blocked up nose

Recorded in mono 24bit/48KHz using a close miked AKG C480B condenser microphone with CK61 (cardioid) capsule.

Oh, and I just wanna say, these Cello Improvisations are Fantastic. Maybe if you have enough time in a few days, you can record some Cello Note Samples, like "Minor Third notes, Starting from Open C, chromatically slowly up to A6 as you can," With special articulations like, Non-Vibrato, Pizzicato, Tremolo, Molto Vibrato, Up and Down Glissandos, Legato, Staccato, Spiccato, Snap Pizzicato, Pizz Glissandos, etc. And also with dynamics like pp, mf, and ff.

Just try to give me a link in the comments if you are finished recording these note samples.

    However, Very nice work.

    Hi richard,
I really apreciate your improvisations! I was wondering if you have some time, if you could record some samples of extended techniques alone: scrath, gliss, etc...
thanks very much, if you like visit my site:
