spinning a coin (i think it was a penny) on the head of a timpano (kettle drum). the mic (marshall MXL 2003) is close, about 15 cm above the head... the coin rolls around the head a bit, then comes to rest under the mic (which took quite a few tries :> ) this is on the smaller of the two timpani (64 cm). unprocessed except for a little noise reduction.

Cool Idea and effect!
This is the most original accoustic sample I have heard.
I hope I can load up flac files into my DAW (If not I am sure I wil be convert it).This sample is definetely worth doing something with.
