A dragon roaring. I created this effect for a production of Shrek. I recorded several takes of an actress roaring, and mixed some of them together, adding EQ, distortion, and reverb to create the resulting effect.

Recorded with an SM-57.
Actress: Nicole Lewis

Thanks, I will use this sound when St: Georg strikes the final blow to the dragon in my scouts film.

Like I_forbes said, the roar would need to be deeper, but because the Dragon is played by a female, not a lot deeper. Ditto to the human comment and to the good groundwork comment.

RAAAAWWWR! I used this sound effect in my Barbie-compatible 3D printed medieval armor Kickstarter video. Thanks so much for sharing it!

    Here's the video. Enjoy!

I'd say that a dragon's roar would need to be deeper, and towards the end of the track it is very distinctly human. But all the groundwork for a really cool sound clip is there
