Thanks. I did it by duct-taping a lapel mic to the handset of an old telephone then just hit 'dial-up'. Worked first time. I no longer have a dial up account tho. These days it's all high speed broadband. There'll come a time when kids won't know what that sound is. ;)
Excellent, this might be just what I'm looking for. I like the combination of dial tone, touch tone, and random noise, plus the fact that this is a crystal-clear sample with no hiss. Very nice! :D

This is so clear. My idea is to play it into the telephone every time a solicitor calls. Should definitely deter the auto-dialers :-)
