The kudum is one of the most fundamental rhythm instruments in classical Turkish music. It consists of a pair of small, hemispherical drums. This recording was done in the apartment of Hamza Zeytinoglu (Istanbul, Turkey) who plays practically all turkish instruments and was nice enough to allow me to record him play most of them. The recording was done on February 20th 2011 with a Sony PCM-D50. picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59779290@N03/5475919029/in/set-72157626120416994/
