Synthetic ambiance reminiscent of planetary weirdness sounds from Star Trek, though it is not intended to emulate those. Seamless loop, 32-bit floating wav, relatively long (about 40 seconds) but only minor variations in sound sweep around. It is a relatively thick layering of multiple notch-pass filterings of noise using FFTs, with separate pitch bending and other effects in each layer. This isn't hard to do, but the complexity just means it takes a lot of time to get it done, so it's worth using the work someone else has done to save the time. Here's mine. :-) I can imagine this being used as a primary component (drone) of any other-worldly situation. Just add the sonic sprinkles of your choice. All components of this sample were created mathematically in Cool Edit Pro.
