Like your other native flute samples this is excellent - very emotive. Personally I think the echo is too much and detracts from the clarity - this sound is beatiful and does not need the echo - a touch of reverb perhaps. Any chance of uploading a "dry" version?

Sorry folks. I don't have any "dry" pieces. I think that on these samples if you feel it may have lost some of it's clarity its because I had to go in after and remove some of the hiss from the original recording. All I had at the time was an mp3 recorder that came out with a lot of hiss and a high pitched sound that I had to take out. Since I am without recording equipment I have no way of making new samples at present. I appreciate the suggestions, but enjoy what you have - if you like it. Thanks. Kerri

Actually the NAF is a really simple instrument. I think that anyone who really feel strongly drawn to this instrument and wants to learn to play could reasonably do so in a relatively short amount of time. There are certainly teachers out there... John Vames teaches a class in Scottsdale, AZ and he has a book which is how I learned believe it or not - through the book. I recorded my first pieces after only two to three months. I love the flute but don't actually listen to other artists for the reasons that I tend to compare myself to others and I don't want to find myself trying to duplicate anyone else's style. Somehow I seem to have found my own and that is kind of a delicate matter.
