Wonderful! I never thought I'd find a sample like this. In Greece (Thasos) they have day & nightinggales (a joke) because they sing all day long. Thank you for sharing!

Endlich kann mein Computer zwitschern! Ich vermisse so unsere Nachtigallen und warte auf den Frühling. In der ersten Tagen wenn sie aus Afrika kommen haben sie sogar afrikanische Vogelstimmen mit im Gesang. Hey, this is really fantastic recording and the bird is excellent songer. I have heard something similar here in Finland (Vantaa) about 2 km from my home. In one evening 2 weeks ago I went to forest with my 7 years daughter and got 30 min of beautiful song with my Nikon Coolpix L2 camera.

I have to say something... I have a parakeet who loves to hear this sound. She'll be really quiet for a while and then I'll play this sound for guests and she goes nuts! Chirrp chiiiirrrp chiirrp... she goes crazy! Sometimes I play it just so there's some ambiance in my room. Fantastic sound! Me AND my bird thank you :-)

I've recently relocated to West Yorkshire, and I live in an old mill (textile factory) converted to flats. And...guess what? I have nightingales in the bushes and trees in front of my window. So, at night, I play your recording on my speakers and they respond... Is more than i can explain in words. Thank you.

Great, sounds like the back yard which I was looking for. I needed a brief clip of a Happy Ending sort of thing for the Trap and Neuter of a feral cat and I released him with birds in the back ground as the real ones were too soft LOL. Thanks

I have a few seconds of what I think is a nightingale, I am not sure about its rights so I'll just post a link to downloading it, I guess everyone heard of it already as it is very famous in Italy as it opened up some radio program in the past it's a few kbs but well worth the listen, I'd love if someone identified it as a nightingale or whatever it is:
