Description by DJ Chronos A dark and powerful "bell from hell". This is a remix of Schalkalwis' "Lipari bells.aif" sample. I filtered all of the high end sounds out, added some reverb, and turned the pitch down by 8 semitones to get this ominous eerie bell. It almost sounds like something out of the early Resident Evil games. *Edit* Thanks for all the downloads and comments! I'm really glad you all liked it and I hope it worked well with your projects! A nice ominous peal, DJ. Bells are wonderful, aren't they...they're very rich in loud, dominant partials, and so when you pitch them down as you did, they retain their richness and ambiguity. You've explored sounds wonderfully on Freesounds, and it's always nice to find a new sample from you...

Nice, this is perfect. Just so you know i'm using this as the bell that strikes one in a production of HAiR, signaling Claude's being finally drafted into the army to go and die. The bell from hell indeed. Thanks!

GREAT sound but I found a problem with the file; each time I tried to use it, it didn't work and also stopped app from saving... I could only save my work once I'd deleted this .wav file :-((
