Description by mmcdona1	Hawaii's siren test day is every first working day of the month. Recorded March 3rd 2008 at 11:45am on a Roland Edirol R-09. My very first field recording... some wind + handling noise + internal mics being used. We all gotta start somewhere! Sirens heard: Three Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000Ts, and an EOWS 612

Mar 5, 2008 really nice, I like the space & distance (though some will probably want you to get them close up too); and I like how they intensify in the middle---resonance maybe? or just the individual siren's peaking...anyway, a nice siren recording, with a lot of random space around it.

Mar 5, 2008 Yeah, the sound intensifies in the middle because one of the closer sirens, a Thunderbolt, rotated towards my direction. I recorded this on a dock in a canal surrounded by some high rises in town.

May 25, 2008 probably will record it with a better windscreen coming June 1st.
