You'll have seen all the banners and modals and the blog post about the Freesound survey we just started.
Anyway, full info here: http://blog.freesound.org/?p=657, and this is the link to the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfO7NFjVwwNaIfl4J95tlz10Oz-_Vc1IEbPpFqAkPV33TeqEw/viewform
You can use this thread if you want to discuss survey related stuff with the community
( I stickied the thread. )
For the question "I use Freesound content..." there was no appropriate answer for someone like myself who doesn't use anything, just adds to it.
Just as 5 years ago, I think my feelings are quite similar to the ones I wrote last time: Despite that I will continue to upload and moderate as often as I can, I am not sure I'd consider myself part of the community. That said, this is the only website I've contributed to in any way, so maybe there is something to be said for that.
I also wish that the comments on sounds system was different, so, for example, you could reply to someone as a threaded conversation.
Anyway, it says I've been here 11 years and 9 months. Thanks for all the work in that time!
@Corsica_S You are definitely apart of this community my friend.
I never participated in the last survey.
I use Freesound.org as a base of expression and to feel what other people have for my sounds/music.
I use Freesound.org to explore what other creative & unique sounds people share to further inspire myself to keep on making sounds.
I use Freesound.org to share and hopefully help them with their projects, whatever that might be.
I use Freesound.org to increase the size of my sound library to further create more unique sounds so long as a follow the license guidelines.
The list can go on much more, but I feel I have highlighted all the things I appreciate the most here.
I can only agree with Erokias comment: definitely a key member of this community.
Some people are more chatty than others and maybe more visible in the forums or whatever. But I think the great collection of sounds you have contributed over the years speaks for itself!
After having collected more than 1,300 responses we decided to close the survey form.
Feel free to continue using this forum thread if there's anything about the survey that you want to comment.
We'll update you with news once we have carried out some analysis on the data.
Thanks for your participation!
