This capture is from the shoreline of the natural harbour at Saltpans, Charlestown (near Limekilns), on a sunny calm morning.
Some initial leaf blowing soon gives way to relative peace, where the sound of gulls, ducks, pigeons and curlews (amongst others) can be heard in the trees and over the water.
In the distance some traffic passes on the adjoining hill between Charlestown and Limekilns.
An occasional dog can be heard barking up on the hill, alongside the obligatory aeroplanes.

It's just a wonderful atmosphere! The balance between nature and the man-made component is really remarkable.*****

Yes, it's a nice balance.
Although, the gentleman with the leaf blower tried my patience for a while, because every time i thought he was finished he would start up all over again.
However, I did decide to give him just a little cameo appearance in the end. ;-)

Well, I just really like how the calm natural atmosphere of the river blends with the human activities from the surroundings !
