Construction at a neighbours.
Joinery and construction ambience from a nearby property.

Tascam FR-AV2.
Audio-Technica AT8022.
This capture is of some construction work on a neighbouring property, having some alterations and improvements.
The sound of hammering, sawing, drilling, etc can be heard throughout, along with some birds and a fairly strong breeze stirring up the nearby ivy.
A dog barks.
Just after 3 mins an aeroplane flies over to see what all the fuss is about.

Just did the test.
With the foam is about 1db louder than without.
Never would've guessed.

Great idea!
I'll give it a spin.

Well, if you own a powerful electric fan, maybe would it be possible to make a comparison with and without the foam, thus maintaining a constant wind ?

Thanks for the info Kevin.
Yes, I understand what you're saying.
There seems to be different trains of thought.
I think i might have to do some more testing.
Although I'm sure long term experience will eventually indicate what works best.
Much appreciated.

Yes, perfectly usable, in my opinion. Honestly, the wind noise doesn’t seem disturbing to me.
Concerning the foam on your AT8022, indeed, I’m not sure it would really help, because your blimp already maintains a very large windless space around the mic.
However, if it doesn’t muffle the treble too much, it might be OK to leave it on anyway.
