Captured at the little pier on a day out to North Berwick in April 2025.
Gentle waves splosh against the steps at the end of the pier as a nearby speedboat passes by.
Day-trippers mill about in the background, taking in the harbour ambience.
North Berwick Harbour is a historic site dating back to the 12th century.
Originally a critical ferry link for pilgrims, it has evolved into a popular coastal destination known for its wildlife and dramatic history.
The 'Auld Kirk Green' in the oldest part of the harbour was allegedly the site of coven meetings that triggered the infamous North Berwick Witch Trials in 1590.
Over 70 people were accused of raising a storm to sink the ship of King James VI as he returned from Denmark with his new bride.
