This sample is from an old 11 lamellae (lever/prong) Kalimba from Tanzania. Made of Bamboo, steel /other wood and metals and is 5"x7 3/4". A bit rusty and fractured on one side. Unfortunately not in it's original tuning.
Approx pitch: Bb3
Struck with the tip of my thumb for a clean round earthy tone.
Recorded in a large carpeted bedroom, in mono using 1x Behringer C-2 condenser mic (Mic up close to the face sound hole), a Line6 KB37 with Line6 gearbox (dry: no pre-amp & no FX/compression etc) and Audacity 1.2.6.
