Several thousand people marching to the ice facility in Portland Oregon. At first chanting and shouting, and typical slogans and protesting. At about 22 minutes the ice agents fire flash bangs and tear gas into the crowd, including lots of elderly and children. At that point people stop chanting and start coughing and moving away from the gas. It is possible to hear children screaming. Eventually making it back to the starting point the organizers decide it is safest to leave the area.
If you are an ice/fascist supporter you do not have permission to use this or any of my recordings.

Nice recording! I have a question about your gear. I noticed you’re using the 8020/8030. Since the 8030 is a figure-8, I assume you’re recording in MS and the 8020 is the Mid. Usually a cardioid is used for the Mid — does it work well with an omni microphone as the center too?

Before, you were recording with the 8020 in SASS. Is this MS technique better then SASS for you?

I’m using the 8020 in SASS, and for Mid-Side I use a traditional cardioid and figure-8, but I haven’t tried an omni as the Mid yet.

Thank you
