Sometimes when i download files that look like MP3 files, They download as another file instead and i cannot add it to my music or anything because the file is not registered 'as an MP3 file' as it should.

A little late of a response, but you can convert the downloaded file to an mp3 using a number of methods; either exporting from Audacity, or using an online converter.

And out of curiosity, which sounds were doing this?
