I've been playing around with Ableton Live's Instrument Rack - building an instrument that is new and interesting to at least myself.

You can hear it used in this piece- Into the Unknown:

It's played entirely with this instrument I've called Bird Drone.

I put it together using:
the Dronos plugin: http://www.service-1.de/music/html/dronos-dronemachine.html
and the Blackbird instrument from Detunized.com : http://detunized.com/free_live_packs/

both parts are free (though there is a fuller version of Dronos for a fee)

What do you think?

I took the first sound you uploaded and I am giving it some tape treatment. I will post the results into Freesound this weekend.
