Hi all,

I'm looking for a heartbeat style effect to accompany a video of changing images. However, every single one I've previewed (a lot) seem to be a bit too medical and realistic. I guess what I'm looking for is a beat in the rhythm of the heartbeat. More of a "bom-bom bom-bom bom-bom" sort of more dramatic noise rather than the accurate pulsing sound of a heart.

Anyone have any ideas where to look or what to search?

Thanks for your time

Something like this?

I've just done it on the fly, I can change anything at will (speed, EQ...) and add effects if needed, as well as providing a 48kHz version since it's meant for video.

I've made a loop (with some percussive loops added later) and uploaded it here, but it may take some time to get moderated. If you want it urgently, send me a pm with you email.

Hi copyc4t

Thank you very much for this, it's not too far off what I'm after. I was thinking of a sort of deeper more bass rich sound.

I think the sound in my head is like a concert bass drum, you know the type of drum used in Also Sprach Zarathustra the 2001 Space Odyssey theme. Like so: http://youtu.be/SLuW-GBaJ8k?t=31s

Are you able to create a noise like that with a kick drum? I'm guessing it's not big enough for that kind of purpose.

Thank you for your reply! This may well do the trick if I have a little play around with it. Thanks for your help smile

You're right, but I can always use orchestra-like timpani for that. I kept the draft dry because often people want to add effects themselves, but I can overload it with reverb at will smile
Let me know if you're still interested or if the sound suggested by klankbeeld fits your needs.
