Speedenza posted a sound experiment sample
http://www.freesound.org/people/Speedenza/sounds/241375/
where he used an alghorithm to attempt to create whine noise. The result was actually close to theoretical brown noise. I applied a filter (EQ) in Audacity to correct and this is the result, which is closer to white noise.
Details of the EQ applied in Audacity:
0-40Hz gain = 0dB
40Hz-5000Hz gain goes up to 21 dB = approx 3dB/octave
>5000Hz gain = 0dB
Unfortunately, after posting I realized the EQ I applied resulted in the sample becoming quite clipped.
SO will post another corrected sample.
