A part of recordings by request. I go into a pachinko parlor, so you can hear the sound is getting louder and louder. Inside is really loud. Such loudness may help people forget their ordinary daily life. AT825 and MR-1.

Your SURE fp24 is the reason I got a MixPre...you are an expensive person to associate with.
ABout 'others eyes'...I suppose you are in Japan, so strange sights on the street are normal :)
However, in a Pachinko parlor I'd be worried about upsetting some Yakuza...take care!

p.s.
All my XLR microphones are connected to the recorder via SHURE fp24.

AudioTechnica AT825 is my first decent stereo microphone, and I love it very very much. It doesn't make low frequency so abundantly, but quite clear in the middle and the upper. Its head is big as you know, and the wind protection cover looks like a hair-style of the disco days in 1970s. I sticked it into my bag and don't care about other's eyes.

Did you get any strange looks carrying your recording rig in? The AT825 is hardly 'stealthy' :) http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/resource_library/product_images/84d5e951a1389582/orig/at825.jpg
PS: How do you connect the 825 to the MR-1?
