I'm using this sample to replace hours of work on a "tuning" orchestral section. It's such a beautiful sample!

I'm not there every day. Or every week. Or even every month. What information does it give you besides the fact that I was in Chicago once? If you're willing to go through the effort to track all of my online presence to find out if I live in Chicago or whether this was a one time occurrence, you'll have to dig through who I am online. If you do that, you may eventually find where I am and what I'm doing. Anyone can do this. Only those who are very *VERY* careful can avoid this nowadays. If someone wants to find out who you are through your online presence, and has the skill, I'm afraid there isn't a lot you can do to stop them.
That being said, I don't think throwing your hands up and saying "fuckit" and putting all your info online is a good idea. I do think, however, that geotagging one sample is pretty harmless.
As far as I know, I haven't pissed off the mafia recently. If I did, I'd hope they'd do the courtesy of leaving a dead horse head in my bed before they come to try to kill me. Usually the mafia wants your money, not your funeral.
