Series of recordings I made in the mountains in the Chiang Mai region, Thailand, near the border with Myanmar. All recordings were made around midnight in a small valley I can’t find back on the map. One side of the hill had a small tea plantation, the other hillsides were covered with impenetrable vegetation. You can hear all kinds of night-time animals such as owls, insects and loud frogs. The temperature was very agreeable at night. I listen to the recordings to relax or to cast my mind back to the mythical tropical rainforest. Sony PCM-D50
