The sound of late summer in Taranaki New Zealand. This is the sound I hear all day long in my painting studio at this time of year. Cicadas with the occasional lazy bumblebee, the quardle-ardle-wardle-doodle of the magpies, and the distant sound of thundering trucks. Recorded using one Octava M-319 condenser microphone and later normalised and a bit of compression added I think.
