I recorded a mosquito and had it fly around in a grand church
afterwards. After a while the little animal is joined by another one
and they sing together for a few seconds.(Mosquito recorded with my
solid state recorder.)

hey WIM, you know in biology pictures they routinely use the trick of cooling down insects and other cold blooded animals. Putting an insect in a freezer for a few seconds does not hurt them (as they are cold blooded) but makes them much slower and easier to photograph.
I guess you could do the opposite: warm them up ever so slightly, that would make them quicker and more reactive. I bet a mosquito at 35 degrees feels much happier than at 5 degrees. :)

great stuff, very musical! I thought first that was a strong effect on a "basic" mosquito's sound... But anyway, with or without effect, that sound is beautiful.
