Thank you for your thoughtful, worthwhile and eloquent contribution to this comment thread. If by 'new thing' you mean a trend, by all means start #rippingpaper, and perhaps record it too seeing that you've never uploaded anything to Freesound. If by 'new thing' you are criticising the innovation of this sound, then by all means tell us how we should be #rippingpaper. I know it is a long read, but if you got to the third sentence of the description, you'd notice that this sound was recorded during a class prac by 1st year Sound Design students. If by 'new thing' you mean a recent upload; why yes! This sound has been downloaded 35 times in the first few hours after its creation.
