recording of the clock in my Grandma's living-room who recently passed
away. Every quarter of an hour it plays the "Big-Ben" - Bells, a sound
that accompanied me over my whole childhood and further on.

Thanks, just what I needed for demonstrated 4-bar phrasing via Big-Ben style chime in a music class! Lovely sounding mechanism. Might get more hits if also tagged as big ben (w/o the hyphen). Note that sample has a great deal of DC-offset in the sample.

fantastic!!! but i need a sample of twelve o'clock, therefore i had to work on it with the sample editor of my sequencer.

Used this for a Theatre piece at Clapham Junction Station in London. Very melancholic piece about two lovers who are leaving London together to move by the sea, but one of them pulls out at the last moment and regrets it forever more. Sad ending.
