Sounds like a good sample, all though I have so far yet to download it. Iwould have thought it belonged in the rain pack... and no, I am afrade I am not v ery good at identifying birds.

Nice sample... i could definitely use it for something atmospheric like a smooth song because the sounds of the birds tweeting comes through very well

you obviously misspent your time in one of the un-motorized by-carriages of the S-Bahn, thus completely missing the exiting sound of 800V direct current motors which are especially typical for older (Stadtbahn-)trains. Only once towards the end one briefly hears an E481 (new and on electronic motor steering) through an open door. Too bad!

Ahh - nostalgia - reminds of so many days in Scotland working or on holiday. There is no rain like Scottish rain!

Sounds like Zew Zeland to me :) Nice example of the 'field-recording' genre!

This is wonderful as it is, as you say, a rare thing to witness never mind be able to record. While it is great to have the complete event here I think you should edit this down into some smaller sections as it is a huge file which will deter a lot of people from downloading. Great upload though!

this is perfect, makes one think it was done with a parabolic dish (but the pigeon background demonstrates it was not)

Yes - a kind of paradise. It is amazing to hear the wren so clearly as well as the wings of what I reckon must be wood pigeons.

Beautiful, impressive recording indeed. And amazingly clean, did you filtered out low freqs in some way during post, or was it naturally this clean? At 6 min I can hear wing fluttering (and a plane overheading at 7 min), but other than that there is no background hum noise so I'm at a loss. And the gear you used has no low-cut filters to my knowledge. Then?

Superb clip, though a little quiet. This is perfect for my next audio podcast of 'Cat and Cthulhu'. http://www.catandcthulhu.com/site/archives/48
