Rifle, .223 cal. Single shot with natural ambiance from surrounding hills. Colombia County NY, circa 2005.
Microphones/recorder: stereo pair of Archer [Radio Shack] modified PZMs to a HHB Portadat DAT recorder. As I recall the mics where placed on a berm in front of, pointing slightly up and away from the rifle. NOTE: 02 is the same "Rifle-223_WAVE.wav" but from a different direction (fewer early reflections. This file is mono, as I must have mistakenly saved it that way.

I used this one in an audio play: "20.000 Leagues Under The Sea" by Jules Verne; recently recorded in one of the lecture halls at Bielefeld University, Germany (by a student drama group). A just-for-fun project (non-commercial).
