This recording features, what many would say is the most gorgeous bird-song in the midwest---the flute-like wood-thrush. Recording made in July in deep forst; a plane is lazily droning overhead, and the ever-present chorus of summer insects is heard. Made with Zoom H4N using the internal microphones.

Hi Fiddleclare...You're welcome...sorry to hear it is declining there...here in southern Illinois, I have also head that it is declining also. Since 2011 I have been going out to this State Park where this recording was done and monitoring the Wood Thrush, and, I have noticed a decline also.....

Thanks for this. The wood thrush is declining in TN -- I'd like to see that change.
