Thank you, this is an old pack which I was going to update regularly but so many distractions. Your appreciation may have inspired me to bust out some more loops this weekend ;)

Oh thank you, but you give me too much credit. The good people on freesound inspired and taught me how to do this, and there are many more sounds created by people who know what they're doing a lot better. It was fun though :)

    Saw your 'album':http://freesound.org/people/luckylittleraven/packs/12877/
Just want to say that you are a talented person with skills to actually make a music that can be done in loops. Thanks, you're awesome!

Wow, I love this! Has this been used in a game or something? The melody is just gorgeous! Excuse me while I swipe it for my voice over demo :)

These are GREAT sounds. They work very well for a verity of situations. I appreciate your sense of exploration and genius gathering together the mostly unheard!

Thanks again, this was the sample that inspired me to create this music piece. Now finally the finished version:

My favourite files were bmps,so much juicy info there to use this weird physics of data-mathematics-music. This was actually a bryce studio scene of a rocky river!

Ah, a familiar sound. Pretty much what Cool Edit produces when you load bitmaps. Although I noticed Audacity has some extra formatting modes.

Wow, thanks for that, yes it was just set to default (8) So I did it again changing it to 32 and you're right! Much cleaner looking and sounding (for a bunch of hideous noise anyway) and the clip itself is much shorter. interesting . . . :) I added the sound to this pack (menacingmachine1version2)

Clearly a sound from the engioneering deck, you can hear the teleporters in the background.
    Beam me up Scotty!

Notice the nice panning effect. - Audiopaint uses different colours for left and right. Since there are 3 colour layers in a picture (Red, Green, Blue), one of the colour layers is ignored. Can't remember which cpolour is which... check the instructions.
If you want to produce a mono sound, first convert the image to greyscale.

I suspect you have imported a 32 bit depth image as a 16 bit depth sound. - because all the black gaps if you look at the sound image as a spectrogram.

Try importing this image again as 32 bit depth sound, if you can. (and see how different it sounds. Are the gaps gone?)
