This is a recording of the destruction of the Greensboro Burlington Industries building, headquarters of Burlington Industries in Greensboro, North Carolina. This was a 6-story structure built in the 1970s. The frame was stainless steel, and there was a lot of glass, which was removed prior to this recording. This took place on the morning of May 23, 2005. I recorded this with a Sony MZR-700 minidisc recorder and an Audio Technica ATR25 at a very low level, then processed later. I was standing near a truck that unfortunately would not turn it's engine off. A warning horn is heard at three time periods, three minutes, one minute, and fifteen seconds before the explosives are set off.
