Can you be a witch?
I want recordings of witches in the witches scene from Macbeth, i.e. the text as in the script for Act 1, Scene 1 here: http://www.william-shakespeare.info/act1-script-text-macbeth.htm . Obviously, all recordings I use will be credited!

The challenge is that I'd like it read so that it fits with this piece of music
http://soundcloud.com/basher-sounds/when-shall-we-three-meet-again
What I'm after is a recording for each witch, with a different characterisation of each one, so I can add them to my music, and produce a good finished piece with great voices.

This music was originaly written for a friend of mine who was directing the Witches scene for a Shakespeare festival. To give you an idea of how the text fits the music you can take a look at this video
http://youtu.be/9vlAE2pNQto?t=27s
The sound (and visuals) are pretty badly recorded but it should give you an idea of the rhythm of the speech.

So if you think you can do a good witches voice, (or two or three good ones) do let me know, and get recording and uploading!

Btw the 'chorus', which isn't part of Shakespeare's play goes

"Macbeth, I said Macbeth, we're gonna lead you right to your death" (X 3)

Let me know if you're interested, should be fun!

Cheers

Andrew
PS I plan to enter the piece in my hometown's new chart (I'm currently at number 9 with thanks to Freesounders Epanody and ERH help with 'Do it now' http://soundcloud.com/mkchart/do-it-now-by-basher-sounds
the chart's at http://www.opensounds.co.uk/

This is the best I can give. Hard, play and keep the 180 bpm beat. Perhaps a motivation for some others. Ask user Timbre to change voices or effects. It is his speciality.

I hope it helps you.. It was fun to do..

Many thanks Klankbeeld. Sounds good, I'll have a go at mixing in your recording over the next week or so. It's good to now you enjoyed making it, and thanks also for the suggestion of Timbre.

Timbre, Benboncan

Great stuff, I like both your remixes smile
I'm hoping that someone else will record their own take on the script i.e their own version of the speeches to give me (and you??) some more sounds to play with. In the meantime, both of your treatments and of course klankbeeld's original give me plenty to play with.

Thanks

Andrew

Timbre, Benboncan, Klankbeeld

I have eventually finished working with the samples you so kindly provided.

You are of course credited in the resultant piece: When shall we 3 meet again?, along with Freesounder RHumphries for their thuderstorm samples.

Thanks to all of you

Andrew
