I would like to ask if any of you can read this somewhat of automatic poem i posted a little bit down as a quote.
I need it to be read at normal speed, with normal separation between sentences, with a calm voice and a little bit of entonation, not too much.
Like if it was a poem but without overacting or going too emotional.
It can be read by any person, any sex, any age.
I would even like to have various versions.
"I do not know who I am, yet I desperately want self-definition.
I am trying to get us to abandon that terminology
I am saying something inconsistent.
I am a nonimmigrant.
I am who i say I am.
I am an employer.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am energized by students, encouraged by staff and inspired by colleagues.
I am speaking to a microphone, broadcasting my despair, but I hear no response.
I am sorry I was not here to hear your whole testimony.
I am listening now.
I am not sophisticated but simple, concentrated, and friendly.
I am not well trained in smile but always curious and want to help others.
I am a little bit afraid that it might sound noisy to you.
I am a fan of art, especially interested in the Renaissance period and I myself make drawings, water and oil paintings.
I am never afraid of facing challenges and difficulties.
I am the person that I am because of my birth culture.
I like who I am.
I am a star.
I am not a lawyer and do not give legal advice.
I am a student.
I am frustrated by the violence in the Middle East, and so are a lot of people who live in the Middle East.
I am not likely to be impressed by the same thing over and over again.
I am not a visual designer.
I am acting just like a man.
I am not sick, I don't need help.
I am sorry for every time I made you cry.
I am a Visitor."
This is by the way a group of sentences that contained "I AM" that i extracted from the internet, with a google search.
Then i rearranged them and i am using them for a website/university project on identity.
Thank you very much to anyone that can help on this!
All the best.
This is great -- just logged on to try to fulfill another voice request and read yours. I have a file (which I'll spice and use too) -- where do you want it sent? Or shall I post it?
Upload it to freesound please
Thanks for your help
Here you go:-
Mike & Margaret
Thank you so much, this is fabulous.
A big hug for both of you.
Wow, this is great... I just wanted to appreciate how things actually get done around here! Friendly people, finally! It's love at first sight!
Sorry it took me awhile to get back to the forums. The reading should be at the top of my page:
As soon as my submission is given the o.k. by the moderators, I will have a version posted for you here on freesound
Edit: OK, it got approved - here it is:
Top idea, and top assistance on the forums! Really cool to see!
Unfortunately, the links to freesound.iua.upf.edu don't work anymore.
Can you please share these sounds again? Or maybe there a place where they are still available.
Unfortunately, the sound IDs have changed too since then; but with a little treasure hunt:
look at rockstar_not, he only has 3 sounds; click on his name and there it is:
acclivity and cognito perceptu are very productive, but the date of their posts helps browsing quickly through their sounds...
(meh, these IDs have actually been preserved, oh well... )
copyc4t, wow, thank you very much!
Margarets version was soul grabingly awesome.
