I am working on a play about the holocaust and I need a recording of someone with a German accent to yell "Rausch, Rausch!" several times.
"Rausch, Rausch!" is one of the things yelled by the Nazi soldiers as they walked through the camps very early in the morning to wake everyone up. If anyone can record this for me please keep that in mind during recording. Maybe even a couple of recordings of the word "Schnell!" as well which meas fast.
David
Hey,
are you sure that they yelled "Rausch"? Because in german "rausch" is another word for "drunk".
Could it be that you mean "raus!"? Which means "get out!"
Luke
Yah "Raus" is probably what your looking for if u go to Google translator it will say it for u, and I've seen Hogan's hero's and that what they say, I might be able to record it for u thou, here's the link to Google translator:
https://translate.google.com/
If you could get it recorded that would be great. I need it by next week. I have a back up plan in case I don't get it but this is what the director would like to have.
Just remember it is being yelled by a Nazi Soldier walking around one of the camps waking the prisoners up. I can "walk" the voice around and maybe will add the banging of a trash can to it as well. Thanks in advance if you can get this for me.
David
I'll try but I cant do it today, but I'll try any way, either later today if at all today, or tommarow, but I'll try to get to u before the due date, if u want u can check my youtube channels, but I'm only in one videos. And don't forget to credit me and send me a link to it. And the one videos I am in is on the CalebBrixProductions and I am in the ReconBrixCustoms contest entry
Just wondering do u want a little of a attitude to it or just normally saying in a accent, I tried buts not the best accent but its a little of it, I'm going to post in my Pack Vocal Requests, and I will send u the link when it is moderated
I will make a second version to meet your needs.
how many days till its due and I know u want it before that, lol, because my second attempt will be tomorrow.
Ok I'll try my best
Ok tell me what your email is that way I can just send it to u, when I get it recorded again
just wondering can I try to make it tomorrow if u don't like the one I send u
That's fine. I will be at work most of the day tomorrow but do have access to my email. I will listen to it as soon as I can once I see I have it.
There is also someone else, who has messaged me privately, who is trying to get me what I need as well. Which ever one works best is the one I will use.
David
Oh yah I cant send it to u till u make me a contact on google, I already sent u a request, 18hiltc@gmail.com
Hello, I am native German and I am 100% certain you don't mean "Raus!"
"raus" means something like a demand to "get out" - like, telling someone to go out of the room that someone is in.
I am certain, as you mentioned "Rausch" before, you mean the word "rasch" - without the "u".
It means translated into English something like "quick" - in the meaning of to hurry to do something.
In order for you to know how to say it in German, go here:
http://dict.leo.org/#/search=rasch&searchLoc;=0&resultOrder;=basic&multiwordShowSingle;=on
There are these play-buttons where you can hear the word in German!
I hope this helps, although it is quite late already }=/
Kind regards,
Meri
No he means "Raus" because I know a little German and Raus means "get out" and in his movie the German are going to say Raus to prisoners to tell them get out of the barracks. And I know "Raus" is correct because I like to what a sit com called Hogan's Hero's and they use a good chuck of German words in it and "Raus" is one of them.
Well, it really depends on the context what they want to express.
"raus" means to get out (of the barracks, in this case) - "rasch" would be an indifferent command to do something QUICK (but unspecified what exactly - with gestures like pulling away blankets or punching people out of their beds probably to get up and move), in that context probably to get up from the beds and to do something (getting out / "raus" of the barracks").
Can get confusing at times }xD
Both would fit into the context, but if you want to express that they shall go OUT of where they are (out of the current location = barrack), then "raus" is the correct word indeed.
Sorry if I may have caused confusion amongst you - just wanted to help }
Kind regards,
Meri
