A dual mono recording of a descending trombone sequence. Made in response to a request by eagly1. Trombonist was my neighbour.

Thank's for this cool sound. I converted it to OGG format in order to minimize the file size. It makes up for a great GAME OVER sound in my new android game.

To check for proper credits look for "Pouper versus Sniffer" at Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=basic.stuff.games.bean.

This became an unattributed phenomenon at http://sadtrombone.com/. When someone shared that with me, I made a copy of it harmonized in thirds, and then realized it could use two versions for a series of intentionally bad jokes:
    sadtrombones.mp3 http://www.freesound.org/people/NotR/sounds/172949/
in minor thirds, which would after several iterations be followed by the more final
    saddertrombones.mp3 http://www.freesound.org/people/NotR/sounds/172950/
    in major thirds.

Perfect, thanks for uploading. I've used it for my Android game "Lost Geometry".
