This library was recorded in the surroundings of the Hacienda Santa Blanca (house built in mid 1800's) located in the highlands of Chanchamayo – Peru, the high jungle. During the months of September and October the insects known locally as *campaneros *or *chicharras (cicadas in english) *are in mating season. The males sing in high frequencies to attract their mate. This natural music is heard throughout the jungle several times a day.
