An early autumn morning in a settlement of Roma gypsies the Transsylvanian village of Țichindeal/Romania, basically just two mud roads with about 50 or so hovels in various states of disrepair.
The recorder is standing in the middle of the settlement, people are going about their business, some chickens can be heard. In the background, someone is harvesting walnuts by chaining a tractor to a tree and yanking at it.
Recorded with a Rode NT-SF1 and matrixed to stereo.
