I recently found this awesome sounding metal cover in my workshop and decided to do some high quality recordings with it. I used AKG C414, a Neve Portic 5012 preamp my RME Bayface and some slight postproduction (compression and slight EQ).

I would use this if it weren't for the click track in the background. Judging by the sound, you had the click track playing very loudly through your headphones. If you really need the click track that loud, try using noise cancelling headphones.
