This 48KHz/24bit sample pack, which is intended for use with software such as Drumagog or Sound Replacer, contains nine different velocity strikes of a Tama Artwood Custom 14x8 snare drum recorded with eleven different microphones. The loudest strike is also a rimshot. Microphones used were: AKG D202, Audio Technica ATM250, Audix D6, Beyer Dynamic M201, Electrovoice ND868, Electrovoice RE20, Josephson E22, Lawson FET47, Shure SM57 and Shure SM7B. The final microphone was the Josephson C720, a remarkable microphone of which only twenty were made to mark the Josephson company's 20th anniversary. Preamps were Amek throughout and all sources were recorded to Pro Tools through Frontier Design Group and Digidesign converters. Final edits were performed in Cool Edit Pro.
